Windycon plans

I'm hoping to make some advance plans for Windycon this weekend.

If things go according to plan, I'll be there in time for dinner on Friday.  Is anyone interested in dinner on Friday?  What's a good place to have dinner on Friday?  If we were still in the old hotel, I could expect to have the con special buffet in the hotel restaurant, but I have no idea what to expect in this new hotel.

Jan is apparently doing a pizza party on Saturday, and I will do that for dinner if I don't get a better offer -- but a pizza party is not my first choice, so I'm also interested in dinner on Saturday.

If you know of something cool that will be happening that I might not be aware of -- especially if it's not mentioned in the program -- please let me know!

Cheap technology

I just fired off an order for a 2GB CompactFlash card.  With a $40 premium for the Ultra II instead of the regular, it was $173 and some change at NewEgg.com.  This is pretty close to what I paid for a 1GB card not that many months ago.

Since I ran out of CF space the weekend before last, between OVFF and the Columbus Zoo, I thought it made sense to get more memory.
