House Changes Rules to Protect DeLay
House Republicans approved a party rules change Wednesday that could allow Majority leader Tom DeLay to retain his leadership post if he is indicted by a Texas grand jury on state political corruption charges.
The Hypocrisy Party comes through again.  If a Democrat in Congress were indicted for a felony, the Republican leadership would come down on him so hard there'd be gooey splatter from Miami to Seattle, but if an important Republican gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar, it's change the rules so he doesn't have to give up his leadership post.
