Gacked from figmo: This flash thingy lets you "carve" your own pumpkin.  I'm forced to admit that flash really is cool technology, even if 90% of the sites that use it should be covered in honey and staked to anthills.

Total agreement here. I'm quite sure that many webpage designers forget that there are a small percentage of web users who are blind, visually impaired, or still use dialup. This means lots of pictures and picture-based navigation becomes useless.
