At last report, your hero was down two games to none in the seven-game cold series, and the next couple of days were pretty unpleasant, but I'm definitely recovering now.  I managed to get out of the house to do some vital errands (like restocking on cold medicine!) yesterday, and a little while ago I actually managed to walk around the block.  It seemed like a prettly long mile, but it was good.  And as I came into the home stretch, I saw a robin, so even though it felt colder and bleaker than most of this winter so far, I guess spring really is coming.

There are a few robins around every winter if you hunt for them, but I haven't noticed any around my house this year until now.

I think the robins we have here in the summer go well south for the winter, but some of the ones that nest in north Ontario decide this is far enough south.
