Bite me, IRS
May. 4th, 2006 12:51 amSo I get my mail today, and there's a big envelope from the IRS. This can't be good. I open it, and it's my tax return. With a notice stapled to it that they can't process it because I didn't include my W-2. Hello, IRS? I don't HAVE any W-2's, I was unemployed the whole year, that's why, you know, the line for "Wages, Salaries, Tips" shows "- 0 -".
I will have to see if I can get through to anyone at the 800 number on the form who can explain what I need to do to make them happy.
And to add insult to injury, my return is stamped April 19th, but I didn't get it today. Why do I suspect that if I'd owed them money, instead of them owing me a refund of what I had withheld, I'd have gotten it back two weeks sooner?
Grr.
