Wanted: indestructible cat
Nov. 3rd, 2006 03:57 pmI put the nice Honeycrisp apple I bought last night in my briefcase last night so I wouldn't forget to take it to work for when I get the munchies. And a couple of minutes ago, I reached into the briefcase and pulled out an apple which had a chunk chewed out of it.
I used to think mice were nice, cute, and harmless, until I moved to the country. Now I understand the practical reason why humans domesticated cats. I need a cat, an indestructible cat my dogs won't kill. (A domestic one, that my government won't confiscate from me. Besides, a tiger wouldn't actually be good for catching mice.)

Date: 2006-11-03 11:19 pm (UTC)My dogs have killed a couple of cats. (Well, Windy was involved; I haven't had Meg that long.) At least one feral that wandered into the yard with them, and one that belonged to the neighbors when a contractor doing work on the house let them out. And the breeder says that it's normal behavior for malamutes that aren't raised with cats.
