Drip... drip?

So I stick the pan from my very late dinner under the faucet in the sink and turn on the water to rinse it, and a little water trickles out, and then just a drip.

It was working fine just a few minutes back, when I rinsed the food processor and washed the cutting board.  Now, nothing.  I did the obvious, turned the circuit breaker off and back on.  No effect.  I'll poke around tomorrow and see if I can find anything, but I don't think there's anything else that I can do but call the well guy.

This is so not good.  In the "multi thousand dollar repair when you haven't worked since August" sense of "not good".

Our well went dry when the new golf course put in 1, then 2, then 3 wells at ~ 300 feet each to water its new greens and tees. Our surface pump could only draw from 15 feet, and even though adding 5 more feet bought the pipe down to under the new water level, the pump couldn't cope.

Thankfully, we had neighbors who helped us hold the City of Dublin to its (now-forgotten) promise that they make whole any well-users harmed by the proposed golf course. (Also, thankfully our well already went down to 90 feet.) There was another dry week when the city sent out people to measure our well's water level to determine that a submersible pump would be a permanent fix.

Then there was the problem that the church, our landlord, was short of money and could not afford the $1000 pricetag. Luckily, we were able to scrape together that money, run it through the church to pay the plumbing company (non-taxable, that way), and quite some time later got a reimbursement check from the city. In the meantime, we used the church for bottling water and early morning spongebaths in the restrooms.
