I had a really badly needed good time at DucKon; makes me realize that I really need to get to more cons, because it's my best chance to actually be with people.  So I've just bought my reg and made my hotel reservation for InConJunction.

Hopefully I'll see other folks there.  Let me know if you'll be there.

I won't be there all weekend, but I'll definitely be there on a day pass for open filk one night... probably Saturday, but will wait to see concert schedules (I haven't looked... have they posted programming schedules yet?) before I make a decision.

They have, in fact, posted a programming grid (http://www.inconjunction.org/dept/programming/).

A distinct lack of musical programming, but still some panels that should be entertaining. Hopefully there will be enough energy to go around for decent filking well into the night.

Alas I don't think I'll be there--it's a shorter drive than ConClave, but still would require a hotel room, and I'm not sure how much money I have to be saving. I'm not even sure I'll make it to ConClave.

Good luck at the con, I hope it is, if not everything you hoped it would be, enough. I'm joining a Toastmasters chapter, mostly at the urging of a friend...and it's weird being among normal people.

I'm afraid that's how it is. I'm clear on who you are, but I don't think we've spoken at all. Maybe someday, as you say.

Fair 'nuff. LiveJournal doesn't really distinguish between "subscribe" and "trust", and I think the only friends group I put you in is "filk", not any of the ones for Sooper Seekrit Stuff.

Yeah... and unfortunately, I have several years' worth of entries that are only locked as "friends". Some of it is just stuff I don't want googlable, while some of it is stuff that I actually want to keep to people I feel like I know. I suppose I really should bite the bullet and go back and set custom security on everything, but it's such a pain that I never do.

That's exactly how I feel about going back and reorganizing 9 years of photos. Ain't happenin' any time soon. I do wish Picasa had flickr integration, or flickr had a PC client as good for basic stuff (yet much more lightweight than Photoshop Elements' browser) as Picasa is. Never happen though, Google isn't Yahoo.
