Construction in Indy?

birder2 reports signage, as she recently traversed the south side of Indy, about the construction on the north side being bad.  Our habitual route takes us down I-65 to 865 to 465 to I-69.  Can anyone local tell me how much trouble we're likely to see on that route?  And how long is bad rush hour traffic going to be on a Thursday?

Afternoon rush, eastbound, is probably about the worst of the I-465 traffic. It's not _horrible_ (I mean, it's still not Chicago), but lanes are moving around. Since you're going to I-69, hang out to the left and jump in the express lane, if you're not claustrophobic. It's a little tight (of course, I came through it the first time at night in my Trooper) but it tends to move better than the non-express lanes.

Also, speed limits have changed slightly on I-69 and They're Watching, so note the signs as you come through in both directions (it slows down more and sooner on the way in, and doesn't speed up quite as soon as before when northbound).

Enjoy! I had really hoped to make it to FKO this year, but I have to be in St. Pete's Beach, FL, for a class that starts at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, so going north for the weekend seemed unwise (especially since I'd've ended up missing all of Sunday).
