Since the weather was attractively springlike, I went to Kennekuk today. The ponds were still frozen over, but I did see one small orange butterfly of indeterminate species.

The only bug I've seen since the triple polar vortices is one snow midge the other day. But I heard a Red-Winged Blackbird today.
