Christian homophobia: based on mistranslation?

folkmew pointed me to this page which makes some very interesting claims about what the original Hebrew and Aramaic texts of the Bible say about homosexuality. Apparently it's significantly different from what a fundamentalist preacher would tell you the Bible says. I'm not very knowledgable on the subject, but I found this page very interesting reading, and I would like to encourage people I know to read it and comment on it. The more they know about the original language texts of the Bible, the more I'd be interested.

That you can get to livejournal.com but not to religioustolerance.org just shows that site blocking policies are stupid and ineffective at best and evil at worst.

Unfortunately, the lesson would doubtless be lost on whatever pointy-haired monstrosity is responsible for the policy.

FWIW I've used their form to submit feedback to the effect that I think it shouldn't be blocked.
