Astonishing musical discovery (NOT)

I'm practicing the one tune I can kind of play on the pennywhistle ("The Swallowtail").  I have a little problem getting spit in the mouthpiece.  This sets off the association in my mind with the joke someone, I think it was almeda but I might be mistaken, told at some recent con -- schticking clearing the spit valve on her guitar.  Which caused me to discover that chuckling, even nearly-suppressed chuckling, while playing the whistle produces some, um, unique sonic effects.
